For those that don’t know, can you tell us a little bit about yourself and where you grew up?
My real name is Aminta and I was born in the colourful Guatemala. We call it the country of the eternal spring because it actually is, the weather is amazing the whole year. I grew up in a little town called Esquipulas. I used to climb trees, grab tadpoles from the river, run between cornfields, milk cows – I have to say it was all fun!

Where do you spend most of your time now?
I left Guatemala when I was 18, I have always been a free spirit… Since then I have lived in London, Mexico City, Madrid and now Miami. I would say most of the time I am in Miami, but I do visit Guatemala and Spain a lot.

When did you start blogging?
Back in 2010, when I was living in Mexico City. I didn’t know much about blogging, I just started to do my own thing
and eventually you learn a little bit of everything, from photography to marketing, to HTML and SEO strategies. Starting off blogging was a great decision.

What does a day in the life of yourself look like?
After 10 years working for myself, this is the first time that I actually have to work for someone in an 8am-5pm schedule, but I cannot complain. I am the Creative Director of the most amazing, fun, colourful company ever, ‘We Love Colours‘. I set my alarm for 7:20am, but I snooze it so many times that I end up having only 15 minutes to get ready. I take a quick shower, get dressed and jump in the car. I do my make-up in between red lights. I get to work at 8:30am. I have oatmeal, fruit, eggs or something similar for breakfast. The first thing I do is check and reply to emails and social media accounts. I work on product development improving or adding new products to our catalogue. Right now, I am working on the creative concept for our new website, so my desktop is full of inspirational images. Sometimes, I work on photo shoots, create marketing strategies or work on internal projects. Every day is different at work, that’s why I love it. I finish work between 5-5:30pm and then I do yoga, belly dance or twerk, depending on the day of the week! After that, I try to spend time with the people I love, make new friends, try new stuff or dedicate some hours to my blog replying to emails, editing photos or scheduling posts. I normally get to bed around midnight or 1am, the last hour of my day I spend it in bed replying to text messages.

We love your style! Who or what inspires your amazing outfit choices?
I would say I’m inspired by everything around me, but I find nature really captivating. Sunsets, the ocean and the colors of different animals. I think I dress up thinking in colors, I kind of create a color palette in my head and everything goes from there. I even get to choose the “hair” that matches best with the outfit.

Any advice for other up and coming fashion bloggers out there?
My rule for everything in life is Just DO IT ! Do not overthink on what the limitations may be. Something very important… stay true to who you are. Do not act or be someone different just to fit in and be accepted. When you love what you do and who you are eveything else comes to you. It is easier to say than to do it, but hey this is our challenge.

What are three things you can’t live without?
People, Something sweet, and color.

In 5 years, where do you see yourself?
I never like this question, I guess I live in the present too much and I rarely think about the future. I do what I love every day, so I guess in 5 years I want to keep doing the same, doing what I love.

What does being ’stylish’ mean to you?
Someone stylish to me is someone that wears whatever they want, they enjoy wearing it, they feel good being themselves and they make anything look good attracting others attention.
